Bruno Mars reveals recession inspiration

Brit Award nominee Bruno Mars has revealed how the recession in the UK inspired him to write one of the most successful songs of his career so far. Bruno was in the UK when he was short changed trying to convert some of his US dollars into English pound sterling, which inspired him to pen the Travie McCoy hit Billionaire.

Mars explained, "I was in London and I wanted to exchange pounds. So I gave him $500 and he basically gave me back £200. I was like 'What?! How does this work?' This is how the Billionairething started out. I started humming it on the streets. Travie came along later and put his verses on it and then it hit the charts."

 

Bruno Mars is set to return to the UK later this month, as he is nominated for the Best International Male at the upcoming Brit Awards and he stands quite a good chance of taking the gong home with him. The Brit Awards are expected to follow the trend of the Grammy Awards and be dominated by singer Adele. The Brit Awards are set to take place on February 21 in London at the O2 Arena.

Bruno Mars and Amelle Berrabah dating?

It has been reported that, American singer songwriter Bruno Marsis dating Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah. The couple are said to have been seeing each other for over a month now and that things between the two are beginning to get quite serious, despite the short length of time they have known each other.

A friend of Amelle explained, "She's absolutely smitten with him and keeps saying he's the one. It's getting very serious very fast. She has been through a lot and Bruno is really making her feel special again. Who knows what will happen next? None of us would be surprised if they got engaged." Although, neither Amelle Berrabah or Bruno Mars have yet to confirm or deny the rumours.

 

Bruno Mars was successful at the American Music Awards at the weekend as he managed to bag Favourite Male Artist in Pop/Rock. Bruno is set to appear on this week’s results show of The X Factor USA, which takes place tomorrow evening. Bruno Mars "It will rain" to feature on Twilight: Breaking Dawn Soundtrack

They don’t come much bigger than this, a featured track on the new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, and this is exactly what Bruno Mars has managed to achieve.

 

Bruno Mars track “It Will Rain” has been announced as the first song on the soundtrack to the movie. Summit Entertainmentannounced via their Facebook page along with the artwork.

 

The artwork is in the style of a painting which has been achieved with what appears to be oil paintings. The feature for Bruno Marsas anyone who has ever had their music accompany a Twilightmovie has seen there fame rocket, you only have to look to Paramore and Black Keys to confirm this.

Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson prepare for X Factor performance

It has been confirmed that Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson are set to appear on this weekend’s edition of The X Factor. It is expected that they will both be performing their new singles on the results show, which takes place this Sunday, October 23.

Bruno Mars is currently in the process of promoting his brand new single It Will Rain, which is will be featured on the forthcoming movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Bruno will premiere It Will Rain on the radio airwaves on Wednesday.

 

This week should see a few of the contestants coming out of their comfort zones on The X Factor, as the theme has been confirmed as Rock Week. Frankie Cocozza will be aiming to prove himself after landing in the bottom two last week.
